Buying Guide for 36 Inch Griddles and Accessories
Material and Durability
When selecting a 36 inch griddle, consider the build material. Stainless steel is highly durable and resistant to rust and corrosion, ideal for longevity. Powder coated steel options may offer cost benefits but check for quality coatings to prevent flaking and rust. Accessories like covers and mats should use weather-resistant and heavy-duty materials to endure outdoor conditions.
Compatibility and Fit
If purchasing a replacement griddle top or accessory, verify compatibility with your specific grill model. Many options are designed for Blackstone griddles but vary by model number. Using the wrong size or incompatible design can impact performance and stability. Always check dimensions and model match prior to buying.
Cooking Performance
Key cooking performance attributes include even heat distribution and temperature control. Models offering multiple burners or zoned controls provide greater versatility for cooking various foods simultaneously. Consider features like built-in grease management systems to reduce flare-ups and improve cleanup ease.
Ease of Use and Maintenance
Look for removable parts such as grease trays and handles for easier cleaning and portability. Folding side shelves and hoods add convenience for prep space and cooking versatility. For covers, adjustable straps help secure the fit and prevent damage from wind and weather.
Protection and Longevity
Investing in quality griddle mats or covers can significantly extend the lifespan of your cooking station by protecting against moisture, debris, UV damage, and pests. Choose products specifically designed for your griddle dimensions to ensure optimal protection.
