This week I continued my groove back into a regular training routine. I even hit double-digit miles this week (barely). This is Last Week Today - Weekly Wrap August 5, 2018.
For the second week in a row, got up early and made it to the gym every day before work! I'm still battling wanting to roll back over and go back to sleep, but I resisted that urge for another week.
To say I'm not a morning person, is putting it mildly... I find it hard to function in the morning until I've had my first cup of coffee. It was noticeable this week as one day I forgot my water bottle one day and my gym bag another day.
Saturday the hubs and I set out to run a 5k together.... well, we didn't finish. The hubs twisted his ankle and took a hard fall, his knee and ankle started swelling. He does seem to be on the mend. So, I got my first DNF!
Last Week Today - Weekly Wrap August 5, 2018:
Monday - body pump.
Tuesday - 4 miles treadmill - hills
Wednesday - body pump
Thursday - 4 miles treadmill - hills
Friday - body pump
Saturday - 2.15 miles of a 5k.
Sunday - Rest Day.
Total Miles = 10
I'm linking up with HoHo Runs and Taking The Long Way Home for the Weekly Wrap.

I'm so bummed for your husband and the DNF. But what can you do? Glad to hear he's on the mend. I'm a morning person and yet I've struggled all summer to get out there at the crack of dawn. The call of the coffee is a strong one!
ReplyDeleteOh, that is so sad about your husband! But it's nice that you do things like that together.
ReplyDeleteI AM a morning person. And yet I don't like getting out there super early, I keep meaning to get out by 6 or 6:30 but somehow it's almost always 7 . . .
Oh no! I loved that you and your hubs were going to run together. Hopefully he'll be back to form quickly!
ReplyDeleteIt's so impressive you went to the gym early every morning! I always tell people I have zero personality under after coffee. LOL. I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's fall. I hope he mends quickly and will attempt another 5k race with you. Thanks for linking!
ReplyDeleteI never run before work and I know that I should because of the heat. I just can't drag myself out of bed.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky that you and your hubby run together. I hope he heals quickly.
I hope your husband's ankle is on the mend and he's able to run again soon! You're a better wife than I am because I'm pretty sure I would have finished the race and then run back to check on my husband. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI am definitely not a morning person and every time I even attempt to set the alarm for an early morning gym class or workout ...I roll back over. I just can't do it. Kudos to you for resisting the urge!
ReplyDeleteWow, three Body Pump classes in one week ...I'm super impressed! Two is my max ...those squats will kill ya! Lol
Here's hoping the hubby is back to running soon!
