Today, my brew is a cup of Roasterie Voo Doo Dark Blend.

I'd tell you that the hubs ran a 5k with me! He's done a few with me in the past, and I was thrilled to have him join me. He really wasn't thrilled in the least, but joined in like a trooper. In typical fashion, he high tailed it to the truck immediately after crossing the finish line... no after party for us. I did hear him tell his friends he ran a marathon.

I'd mention that I signed up for a lot of races at the Trail Racing Texas Sign-Up-A-Thon. I registered for a total of five races. Habanero Hundred (20k) in August, Colorado Crossing (4 mile and 10k), Blazing 7s (10k) in September, Wildflower 5k (May). The timing of my sign-ups was pretty good as I won 3 prizes - a No Fine Print t-shirt, a pair of Goodr sunglasses, and a Nathan water bottle.
Over Coffee...
I'd tell you that next month we are going to Costa Rica! While I'm looking forward to exploring and seeing the beauty of the country... the hubs is looking forward to diving with bull sharks. (yes, his life insurance is paid up.)
Over Coffee...
I'd tell you that I'm getting my moneys worth out of my paddleboard! I've been hitting the lake near our house most Sunday mornings for a nice SUP session. The hubs is a little irritated that it remains blown up and taking up prime real estate in his garage on the other 6 days.
Over Coffee...
I'd tell you that our pop-up camper finally made it to our house! Unfortunately, it has a little issue with the wiring for the tail lights, so it's going into the shop tomorrow. Which, frankly is ok because it's too darn hot to camp right now!
Well, that catches me up...what would you tell me, if we were having coffee?
I'm linking up with ith Running on Happy & Fairytales and Fitness for the Friday Five 2.0 and Got 2 Run 4 Me & Confessions of a Mother Runner for the Ultimate Coffee Date!

Costa Rica is on my list as well! Too funny about your hubs telling his friends he ran a marathon :) Hey at least he ran with you! Thanks for joining us for the coffee date today
ReplyDeleteOooh! Costa Rica! I bet you guys have a blast. I've never been to South America, at all.
ReplyDeleteThat's really cool your husband ran a race with you. We always have to leave concerts before the end because my husband hates fighting the crowds out of the parking lot -- even if I drive!
That's cool that your husband decided to run with you! :] Hope you have fun with your upcoming races, and also in Costa Rica! I'd love to go back there!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a paddleboard! *-*
Wow, nice score on the registrations and prizes!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a sign-up-a-thon! What a good way to get your plan down!
ReplyDeleteGood for your husband for doing that race with you even if he wasn't into it! Your Costa Rica trip sounds amazing -- will you be diving too?
ReplyDeleteHaha, your hubs sounds just like mine--if my hubs ran, he'd for sure head right for the car after the race. Even when we go to Cubs games, he won't stick around after to sing "Go Cubs Go" with everyone else. I call him Mr. Fun!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of a sign-up-a-thon before. Sounds like you cleaned up, in race registrations and prizes!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your upcoming trip to Costa Rica :)
That's great that your husband told his friends he ran a marathon. Lol. Most people think marathon is a general term for all races.
ReplyDeleteYou're going to love Costa Rica! The people are so nice and the fresh fish is delicious. Enjoy!
Ha!
