This week my mileage was pretty low, which was good, because I had a lot to do around the house to prepare. The saddest part of my week was finding that my gym closed... permanently. The recovery from Harvey was just too much for them.
In addition to my runs I made it to yin yoga once this week.
I kept up on my nutrition this week, even while traveling.... well, except for that small bag of Garrett's popcorn.

So happy to meet you on Saturday!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your gym :( I hate it that they weren't able to re-open after the hurricane.
Not even a teaser of how your marathon went. :-D Sorry to hear about your gym closing permanently.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Of all the people I know on IG who ran Chicago (about 10 or so), you are the only one who had a good day! Well, you plus Galen Rupp and Jordan Hasay, that is!
ReplyDeleteThat is sad about your gym. Hopefully you'll find another that you like and will be convenient for you. I'm so happy the race went well for you! Now, we need the details! Thanks for linking!
ReplyDeleteIt was awesome to meet you! It really does stink about the gym, they were so active in the community... it will be missed.
ReplyDeleteTeaser... I had an awesome time at the marathon! :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, there were a lot that had pretty tough races. I think so much sun on the back half made it rough, I know I struggled at the end.
ReplyDeleteChicago was just amazing. The gym will be missed by not only me, but the community... they were so active with the kids in our area.
ReplyDeleteThat back half of the marathon course is always sunny and hot! I'm so glad you had a good race. Looking forward to the recap.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on Chicago! Your race day outfit looks great ;-) I'm excited to hear the details...I know it was a tough day for a lot of people with the weather.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on Chicago! Such a bummer about your gym...Are there a lot of businesses that didn't recover?
ReplyDeleteWow can't wait to read your marathon recap! Sounds like it went really well :) Hope recovery is going smoothly!!
ReplyDeleteHow cool Vicki, can't wait for the recap and I saw this picture on IG! Did you get a chance to meet Marcia?
ReplyDeleteYou know I haven't yet mentioned my Garret's addiction. Seriously, that stuff is crack. But I'm getting superstitious about needed it for PRs!
ReplyDeleteIt is seriously good... i devoured a small bag one night... all by myself - oops!
