I had a solid week of running this week. I continued with my plank-a-day and went to yoga class. I only ran three times this week, had planned on 4, but got stuck at the office late 4 out of 5 days.
I don't know what it is, but this week my runs have felt harder than usual. I have been neglecting my foam roller and eating out more than I should. I'm making it a priority to foam roll and eat cleaner this week... hopefully that will nip it in the bud.
I am also trying to transition my running days so that I can have a rest day on the weekend. A full day of leisure, just sounds dreamy now... we'll see how it works out.
This is how my week ended up:
Sunday - 5 easy miles... I set out to do 8, but a few miles in I just wasn't feeling it, so cut it short. 1:00 plank.
Monday - Rest day.
Tuesday - Yin yoga class. 1:00 plank.
Wednesday - Rest. 1:00 plank.
Thursday - 3 miles easy. 1:00 plank.
Friday - Rest. 1:00 plank.
Saturday - 10 mile LSD. 1:00 plank.
Total Miles = 18

I think we all have weeks that seem harder than others. For myself, I can usually attribute it to hydration...if I'm not hydrating enough (or, sometimes, too much LOL), my legs get puffy (from water retention) and I feel sluggish. Of course, there are certain weeks each month (if you get my drift) that I keep an open mind on all of that LOL
ReplyDeleteWe all have hard running weeks from time to time and I'm confident you'll bounce right back. I had a full day of leisure today and it did feel dreamy. I should definitely do it more often. Thanks for linking, Vicki!
ReplyDeleteI definitely have weeks, days actually, that seem harder than others, especially when it comes to running. I always look at it this way - for every hard run, the universe owes you 2 great runs! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat week of workouts. I did yoga today but then had pizza later tonight. I need to clean up my eating as well.
ReplyDeleteI definitely have some weeks when running feels hard - usually it's a sign to cut back. I've been slacking on my planking - need to get back to it!
ReplyDeleteThe cut back week usually mends it!
ReplyDeleteI always feel better when I eat cleaner!
ReplyDeleteGreat way to look at it!
ReplyDeleteThankfully, the good weeks outnumber the hard weeks.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought about hydration... and you are totally right about those weeks each month!
