Workouts - Last Week Today - February 19

fontover_201671013354641-1.jpgI'm still just running as I feel like it, 4 days a week with one long run.  My weeknight runs have been on the short side at 3 miles so that I don't have to leave work early to get it in before it gets dark.  I'm looking forward to the time change so I can increase my distance.  I have been adding a progression run each week, I really enjoy those.

At this time, I'm not following a training plan, and I'm ok with that.  I do have some races coming up on the calendar:  a half marathon on the schedule for March, a 25k trail run in April, and another half marathon on the schedule in May... a fun spring full speed ahead!

This is how my week ended up:

Sunday - Galveston Half Marathon... you can read my recap here.

Monday - 3 recovery miles with the Gooses Acre Running Club.

Tuesday - Rest.

Wednesday - Rest.

Thursday - 3 miles progressive... I really shocked myself at the pacing when I was finished - 10:44/9:48/8:47.

Friday - Rest.

Saturday - 4 miles easy with Anam.

Total Miles = 23

I'm linking up with HoHo Runs and MissSippi Piddlin’ for the Weekly Wrap.

  1. I'm popping over from Holly and Tricia's Weekly Wrap! The picture of the river from your run with the Gooses Acre Running Club is lovely! What a peaceful view to have during a run.

  2. You are killing those progressive runs too! Do you think all the marathon miles is what has helped make you super speedy?

  5. I think I failed to mention it was 65 the day of my progressive... I think that helped. I also think doing yin yoga and all those marathon training miles is helping too.

  7. Congratulations on beating the goal you set for the Galveston Half and placing in your age group! You should be very proud. I'll be glad when the time changes too, although it takes some getting used to. Your Thursday progression run paces were outstanding. That's my favorite kind of training fun. Thanks for linking, Vicki!

  8. "I’m looking forward to the time change so I can increase my distance." Ditto! I tend to get up early to get my running done before the day starts and I'm tired of running in the dark :/
Great job with the running girl!
25km trail race?! Hard core! I did one once... not my thing. I hope you enjoy it though =)
