Happy New Year!!!
I'm still formulating my goals and aspirations for 2017... I'll be posting more about that later this week, along with my 2016 recap and my 2017 first half racing calendar.
I'm in my 14th week of training for the Houston Marathon. Race day is a mere 2 weeks away!! I'm hanging out in the taper now. I'm enjoying the mileage cutback this week, and I've been taking fully advantage of my recovery days. The only thing I missed this week was yoga, but I plan to double up on classes the next two weeks to keep me loose for the marathon.
Sunday - Rest.
Monday - 4 miles easy with Anam.
Tuesday - Rest.
Wednesday - 6 miles - 1 mile w-up/c-down with 4 miles "fast".
Thursday - Rest.
Friday - 6 miles easy.
Saturday - 10 miles steady.
Total Miles = 26
I'm linking up with HoHo Runs and MissSippi Piddlin’ for the Weekly Wrap; and Nicole, Annmarie, Jen, and Michelle for Wild Workout Wednesday.

Great job on your double digit run for the week. I haven't had one of those for a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on week 14. I have no doubt you will have a wonderful marathon experience. How exciting you are less than two weeks away now. I hope you enjoy your remaining taper time. We've had a lot of rainy weather recently which has definitely helped me with my taper. I haven't made any plans for 2017 yet. I feel I need to get my marathon out of the way first. Thanks for linking, Vicki! Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Taper a time of bliss? I LOVE taper...it's my reward for all the crazy mileage in previous months ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
