Happy Friday! Today I'm linking up with the lovely ladies for the Friday Five 2.0! This week we are talking about 2017... goals, resolutions, etc. I shared some of my 2017 goals here, so today I'm sharing 5 upcoming races on my calendar.
- Chevron Houston Marathon - I'm sure everyone knows I'm running this one. I'm very excited... it will be my first marathon!
- Galveston Half Marathon - I can't resist Galveston, the island calls... I love running along the seawall.
- Seabrook Lucky Trails Half Marathon - It runs though the nature trails in Seabrook... a go at trail running.
- Brazos Bend 25K - Trail race at Brazos Bend State Park... another trail race, this time on dirt.
- Running With The Cows Half Marathon - I ran this one last year, and am looking forward to running it again. My nieces plan on doing the 5k again, one of my cousins is planning on doing the half and my sister and another cousin are planning to walk the 5k... sounds like a fun family reunion!
What races to you have on your calendar for 2017?
I'm linking up with Running on Happy & Fairytales and Fitness for the Friday Five 2.0 linkup!

Nice race calendar! My 2017 includes RnR DC Half, Cherry Blossom 10 miler, a couple of shorter distance triathlons and my goal race: Maine 70.3!
ReplyDeleteMost of the races I run are road races but I do a lot of training on the trails. I wish there were more trail races locally.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun! Something about "running with the cows" sounds amazing! I'm really looking forward to doing my first Ragnar Relay in Pennsylvania in June!
ReplyDeleteGreat race calendar!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a lot of races on my calendar at the moment, but stay tuned...I have a hard time resisting the "submit" icon race websites. My biggest race (at the moment) is Grandma's Marathon (mid-June)...it's significant because I'm returning to run it again (2015 was in the rain), and there will be a few more friends with me this time as well ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great lineup of races! Best of luck with the journey!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've got a great race calendar!
ReplyDeleteI was pleasantly surprised to come across a few within 2 hours drive from Houston.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fun small town race... great volunteer support and post race food. Doing a Ragnar sounds like a great adventure!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteGrandma's sounds like so much fun... one day I plan on getting there.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
