I'm in my 11th week of training for the Houston Marathon. Race day is 5 weeks away!!
We had some wintery weather for Houston this week. I am really enjoying heading to the waterway to run... it's a very well lit area with lots of runners/walkers/bikers. Since it is the holiday season, it is also lit up with Christmas lights... which makes it seem a little more magical. Saturday morning the temp was 38 when I headed out... it was very difficult getting out from under my warm blanket!
Here is how my week played out:
Sunday - Rest ... sort of, spent the day helping some friends move.
Monday - 10 mile lsd run.
Tuesday - Rest.
Wednesday - 8 miles total... 2 x 3 miles fast with 1 mile w/up & c/down.
Thursday - Rest.
Friday - 5 miles easy.
Saturday - 6 miles steady & basics yoga class. I really enjoyed the yoga after the run... we did some foot work, which my feet were very happy afterwards!
Total Miles = 29
