I'm in my 6th week of training for the Houston Marathon. Race day is 10 weeks away... it is starting to feel real!
I had a great week of running this week! Here's how it all shook out:
Sunday - Houston Half Marathon - 13.1 miles. Had a great time at this race, check out my recap here.
Monday - Rest
Tuesday - 4 miles easy + strength exercises
Wednesday - Rest
Thursday - 6 miles progressive + strength exercises
Friday - Rest
Saturday - 4 miles - virtual 5k virtually with my niece and then an easy mile after that.
Total Miles = 27
I'm linking up with HoHo Runs and MissSippi Piddlin’ for the Weekly Wrap; and Nicole, Annmarie, Jen, and Michelle for Wild Workout Wednesday.

Sounds like a great week - especially right after that Half! Congrats.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you Vicki on your half that is an awesome time! I also love to do virtual runs and how fun your niece joined you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us each week!
Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun way to be able to run "together"
ReplyDeleteNice job on the training. Wish I had your discipline to do strength training consistently.
ReplyDeleteYour half marathon was great practice for your upcoming marathon. And, you knocked it out of the park. I hope your hip didn't bother you after the race. How fun to get to share the virtual race with your niece! Thanks for linking, Vicki!
ReplyDeleteI love when it starts getting closer to the culmination of your training and the race feelings get intense! Congrats on a great week of training!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I really do the bare minimum :-)
ReplyDeleteMy hip hasn't really hurt since... it is really bizarre. Maybe it was running over some of the hills (over/underpasses) that I'm not used to. Last time it hurt was the hilly half in KS.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
