I am in my final week of training for the Houston Half and my 4th week of training for the Houston Marathon. The 2 training plans are peacefully co-existing. I can't believe the Houston Half is just 1 week away!
This week, I had a great week of training! Here's how my week shook out:
Sunday - 14 miles easy.
Monday - Rest
Tuesday - 4 miles easy & 5 stride outs with Anam & body weight exercises.
Wednesday - 4 miles easy & 5 stride outs with Sorcha.
Thursday - 6 miles - 1 mile w/up & c/down with 4 miles "fast" in between. Goal pace for fast was 10:00, splits were 9:33/9:36/9:31/8:48.
Friday - Rest. I headed out to the hubs deer lease for the weekend.
Saturday - Rest.
Total Miles = 28
I'm linking up with HoHo Runs and MissSippi Piddlin’ for the Weekly Wrap; and Nicole, Annmarie, Jen, and Michelle for Wild Workout Wednesday.

ReplyDeleteGood luck in your race Vicki, your training has been spot on so I know you'll do well. Hope the weather is also great! You and Nicole are going to have to meet up for some races!
ReplyDeleteYour "fast" miles for Thursday's run were "super fast"! I'm curious, are you going to taper and recover for the half? Or, will you just keep going since you are also training for a full marathon? I hope you will have cool weather on race morning! Enjoy that race. Thanks for linking, Vicki!
