Today's topic is "Remaining 2016 Goals"
I had 3 big running goals for 2016. I'm still working on them.
Run 1,000 miles in 2016. I'm coming along quite nicely on that goal.
Run 4 half marathons - I've already ran 3 (Jailbreak Run, Run Like A Diva, Running With The Cows), and my 4th will be in less than 2 weeks!
Register and Train for the Houston Marathon - I'm registered and am in my 4th week of training!
I also had some personal goals/aspirations for the year:
- Practice gratitude in my daily life - I spend time before bed listing 3-5 things I'm grateful for.
- Engage in the creative arts at least once per month - I'm taking a swing at this and calling my blog "creative arts".. since writing is creative, that being the case... I'm on track. What I had intended for this was some sort of art project... which has been very little.
- Say yes to me - I've got this under control - between listening to my body, taking care of those pesky doctor visits, scheduling Vicki days, and not over committing myself.... I feel like I am saying yes to me!
How are your 2016 goals coming along?
Today I'm linking up with MCM Mama Runs, Marcia’s Healthy Slice, and My no-guilt life for Tuesdays on the Run.

Looks like you are well on your way to hit 1,000 miles. Goodluck training for Houston!

ReplyDeleteGreat job with all of your goals so far! I definitely need to try to practice gratitude on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteI like the gratitude list idea, I should implement that one. Life gets so busy that it's easy to look past all the great parts of the day!
ReplyDeleteI also have 1000 in 2016 goal and thought I'd miss it because of my summer injury, but luckily I caught up a week ago. Happy running!
What a great list of goals. And that you're meeting them! Nice job.
ReplyDeleteGreat keeping on track with you goals! You're inspiring me to make some running goals for myself next year =)

I love this! It's something I used to do, but fell out of habit with. It's a good reminder to get back on it.
Blogging is definitely creative!
This actually got me to re-check the goals I had set for myself earlier this year and although I'm lacking on a couple, overall I'm happy with the progress. And I still have time to get work more on them =)
Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt really helps put things in perspective on the not so great days.
