Race Bucket List

wp-1473774907071.jpgToday I'm joining the lovely ladies for Tuesdays On The Run.  Where we talk about a different topic each week that is running related.

Today's topic is "Bucket List Races"

I've had a list of races in my mind that I think would be fun to run... I wouldn't really call it a "bucket list", just an I'd be up for it if the opportunity arose list. Some of them include:

  • Grandma's Marathon

  • Flying Pig Marathon

  • Rock & Roll Race Series

  • Big Sur Marathon

  • Chicago Marathon

Until Saturday.

Saturday, my sister sent me a text alerting me that my niece Hannah has decided that one of her long term goal is to train for and run a marathon.  That made me so happy! I love that I get to share the love of running with my niece.

It may be a while, for Miss Hannah to run that first marathon, but I'm putting it on my bucket list to join her for her first marathon... whenever and where ever that may be!

What races do you have on your bucket list??

Today I'm linking up with MCM Mama Runs, Marcia’s Healthy Slice, and My no-guilt life for Tuesdays on the Run.

  3. I really don't have a lot of bucket list races.

But running with a relative -- totally cool!

  4. That's so awesome! No one in my family shares my love of running sadly.
I'm not sure I have a race bucket list, but after having run the San Jose Rock n' Roll last weekend, my friend and I decided to sign up for the Las Vegas one in 2017. It sounds pretty cool! Let me know if you end up doing the Big Sur Marathon - that in my area-ish, I can come and cheer you on =)
I had always wanted to do a Disney run and did that the year before last, so that was cool.
Oh and I had signed up for a half marathon in Hawaii, but would you know I fractured my foot and couldn't run at all? That made me sad and I hope to run day run there.

  5. I was the lone runner in the family until my niece took it up. She just finished her 2nd year in cross country and really likes it, I was beyond thrilled to have a common interest to share. Running in Hawaii, that would be awesome!
