This week I headed ‘back home’ for my annual visit with my mom, sister, and her family in northeast Kansas. While I can’t say that I miss living in Kansas, I do enjoy visiting!
In my planning for this trip I found a half marathon that looked like fun and since it also had a 5k, I signed my nieces up for their first 5k. It was nice spreading the love of running with them.
This week I planned to be much better at getting my planks in, but reality was a bit different.
Here is how my week lined up:
Sunday – 8 miles easy (average pace 10:45)
Monday – 3 miles easy with Sorcha (average pace 10:32), planks 3 x 45 sec.
Tuesday – 3 miles easy with Anam (average pace 10:44), planks 3 x 45 sec.
Wednesday – Rest // travel day
Thursday – Rest
Friday – 15 minute shake-out run
Saturday – Running with the Cows Half Marathon – 13.1 (02:12), I smashed my time goal! More on the race later this week.
