Savory Snack Crackers

When I was growing up, Hidden Valley Ranch Oyster Crackers were a mainstay at potlucks and parties.  They were so good.

I recently had a few extra packages of oyster crackers, and I thought why not make some of those crackers for snacking during the upcoming March Madness!  Then I came to the realization that the packet of Hidden Valley Ranch was not vegan.

What’s a girl to do, but veganize! These turned out so good, I was unable to tell them apart from the original recipe!



Savory Snack Crackers


12-16 oz plain oyster crackers

3 TBS Badia complete seasoning

1/2 tsp lemon pepper

1 TBS fresh dill, minced

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2-3/4 cup sesame oil, or other light cooking oil


Preheat oven to 300

Place crackers in a mixing bowl

Combine spices with oil and mix well.

Pour over crackers and stir.

Spread on baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and stir, bake for another 10 minutes.

    Oh I love taking something I enjoy and veganizing it. These sound like great crackers, a fun snack to easily pack and bring along or stash in the car.
