Today I’m joining the lovely ladies for Tuesdays On The Run. Where we talk about a different topic each week that is running related. Today’s topic is “Running Guilty Pleasures”. I’m sharing my running (not so) guilty pleasures.
We all have them… things we derive pleasure from that aren’t all that great for us. One of mine is french onion dip and ruffles paired with a glass of red wine. I rarely have that combo, but when I tell the hubs I want my guilty pleasure, he knows exactly what I mean.
I really can’t feel guilty about my running related pleasures because, well… running is good for us, right?
My Running (not so) Guilty Pleasures
Changing up my workout so I can run with my dogs. My dogs love to run with me and I love to run with my dogs. When the weather is nice, I’ve been known to switch it up so I can run with them. I may switch out a speed workout for an easy, or loop back early to the house to pick them up.
Searching for races where ever we go to vacation – It doesn’t always work out, but finding a race when I’m already in a new city is awesome! It’s even better when visiting family if they want to make it a group outing!
Wearing workout clothes as regular clothes – Sometimes it works out that I can wear a pair of tights as leggings and get away with it. They are super comfortable… and I feel like I’m “sticking it to the man” when I wear them to work.
Torchy’s Tacos – Thoughts of those tacos sometimes are what get me through my long runs and hard workouts. Who wouldn’t want to run all the miles, eat all the tacos?
