It’s official, I have signed up for the 2017 Houston Marathon.
I’m very excited! As mentioned in my 2016 running goals post, training for this marathon was one of the goals I had for this year. It brings me one step closer.
In other news, I have taken a week of from training for my half marathon. I’m having pretty severe inner-ankle/arch pain and from everything I have read, that is something you don’t want to mess with. I am rolling the arch with a golf ball, foam rolling my calves and working on some foot strength exercises. I think the pain was brought on from trying to run too much too soon in my new Altra shoes (zero drop, minimal arch support). I’m going to start up again tomorrow… wish me luck!
