Great Foods for Summer

Racing Weekend Goals

Happy Friday! It is definitely summer in H-town… and looks like the warm hot weather is hear to stay for a while.  I’m joining in with the Friday 5 fun today, where the topic is summer treats.  Since I don’t eat a lot of traditional “treats”, I’m sharing my top five great foods for summer.

In the summertime, my favorite foods are mostly vegetables… generally raw in some sort of salad type dish.  These are five dishes that I like to treat myself to in the heat of the summer.

Talk to me… Do you have any favorite foods you eat during the summer?  Do you make sure to run on vacation?

Caprese salad is my favorite. I was able to keep a basil plant alive for almost 2 years ( a record for me) so I made Caprese salad often. Since my plant died I have not made it this year!

You know I run on vacation–in fact, that is one of my favorite things to do! I love exploring on foot.
